Riyadh Expo 2030 will be strategically positioned near the under-construction King Salman International Airport, allowing attendees easy access. Visitors can quickly access the exhibition site through the "Riyadh Metro" network, which covers the entire city, by using any of the three entrances connected to the current road network.
This approach is consistent with the exhibition’s mission, ensuring that all participants have equal opportunity.
The placement of the pavilions for participating countries at the show will be selected flexibly based on their longitudes.
Such a design will connect countries from the north and south of the world together, symbolizing Saudi Arabia’s critical role in enabling global collaboration.
It will be built with 195 columns to signify the number of countries that will be represented at the show. Three pavilions will surround this landmark, each reflecting one of the exhibition’s sub-themes: ‘Prosperity for All’, ‘Climate Action’, and ‘A Different Tomorrow’.
The Expo will serve as a forum to highlight the Kingdom’s shared concern with the world community about climate challenges, as well as its ambitious vision for a stimulating future, with a Collaborative Change Corner (C3) being featured. This will foster innovation and creativity throughout the course of the seven-year journey leading up to and beyond Riyadh Expo 2030. The C3 intends to demonstrate how collaboration among the brightest minds in scientific, social, and intellectual advancements may speed up the transformations that will shape our future.
Nouf Bint Majid Al-Muneef, Expo blueprint team member, commented: “Our goal in the Kingdom is to organize the first environmentally friendly exhibition that achieves a zero level of carbon emissions. The Riyadh Expo 2030 site will be powered by clean resources that rely on solar energy, and we are developing high standards for resource efficiencies and detailed strategies to enhance biodiversity, eliminate food waste, and ensure green waste management and recycling.”
The blueprint for the exhibition design also considers the usage of the site with the goal of building an innovative urban model that ensures sustainability while enhancing innovation and creativity.
